The Force Elite 10 & under dual team picked up wins against the Coal City and Oak Forest youth programs Friday night as part of a high school triangular meet held at Joliet Catholic Academy. The host Hilltoppers were also victorious as they captured varsity dual wins against both of the visiting high schools.

In the opening meet, Force Elite defeated the Lil' Coalers 45-24 while claiming wins in 8 of 13 weight classes. Seven of the victories came by pins from the following Force wrestlers: Lorenzo Gonzalez, Finn McDermott, Luke Foster, Colton Schultz, Paxton Valentine, Christian Czerwinski, and Xander Keslin. The other Force victory was a decision by Matthew Laird.  Noah Rauen and Tanner Stone also competed well for Force in their matches.

The second dual saw seven Force wrestlers earn their second win of the night as the team defeated the Oak Forest Warriors by a score of 35-28. Schultz and Valentine once again secured pins for the Force, while Gonzalez, Laird, and Keslin won by decision, and Foster and Czerwinski won by forfeit. 

The duals served as a nice warm-up for the team’s upcoming participation in the annual DiDi Duals which will feature 16 of the state’s top 10U dual teams. The 2020 DiDi Dual Tournament will take place Sunday, February 16th at Richards High School.
