Young Wrestlers lead the way for Force at Minooka

MINOOKA, IL - The Force Elite wrestlers traveled to Minooka High School to compete in the John Carey Open and came away with thirty top 3 medals. Eleven Force wrestlers captured titles.

Intermediate wrestler Matt Gundersen led the way for Force pinning all three opponents enroute to a first place finish. Jeovani Arreola, Jacob Rangel, and Nathan Schlottman also took home gold in the intermediate division. The bantams accounted for the most champs on the day with 5, including Blaze Cabage, Dillon Ford, Nora Rauen, Leo Slak, and Michael Tasnic.

Tot wrestlers Jack Kappas and Nolan Krnac continued their winning ways as both pinned their ways to championships.

James Mitchell recorded the team’s fastest fall of the day with a 12-second pin against Sandwich. Force finished 4th in the 30 team field.

The Force wrestlers return to action next Sunday at the Lemont Bears’ Bash.
