CHICAGO, IL - Force Elite wrestlers showcased an impressive performance at the Big Cat Wrestling Tournament held at Marist High School on Sunday, December 8. Force entered 51 wrestlers to compete and brought home 13 champions across several age divisions.
In Boys Bantam 47-48, Cohen Filips secured 1st place with two dominant falls, including a 37-second pin in the finals, earning 20.0 team points. Similarly, Leo Krnac took 1st in Boys Bantam 49-50 B, winning by fall and decision, contributing 18.0 team points.
Augustine Martinez excelled in Boys Bantam 57-pounds, scoring 19.0 team points after a quick 15-second semifinal pin and a commanding major decision in the finals. Jaxon Benicky, competing in Boys Bantam 61-62 A, mirrored this success with a pair of dominant victories, including an 18-6 major decision in the championship, earning 19.0 points.
In the intermediate division, Nolan Krnac and Logan Linton led the charge. Nolan triumphed in Boys Intermediate 64-67, combining technical superiority and grit to score 23.0 team points. Logan dominated Boys Intermediate 65-68 B, pinning his way to the finals and earning 25.0 points with a major decision victory. Jayse Amico claimed gold in Boys Intermediate 68-69, earning 24.0 points with two technical falls and a major decision. Maddox Martinez followed suit in Boys Intermediate 71-74, tallying 24.0 points after a trio of decisive wins.
In the novice division, Noah Flores topped the 76-79 pound bracket, earning 25.5 points, including a dominant technical fall in the finals. Jacob Rangel claimed 1st in Boys Novice 88-92, contributing 24.0 points with two falls and a hard-fought decision. James Mitchell dominated Boys Novice 106-113, pinning all opponents on his way to 26.0 points.
In the senior division, Finn McDermott pinned his way to victory in Boys Senior 109-113, earning 26.0 points, while Muzaffar Mamurjonov delivered commanding performances in Boys Senior 165-180, earning 22.0 points with major decision victories in the semifinals and finals.
