Strong Performance for Force Wrestlers in Week 3

PLAINFIELD, IL - The 2024 Force Challenge Wrestling Tournament, hosted at Plainfield East High School, featured a strong showing by Force Elite Wrestling Club. Competing among 48 teams and fielding 80 wrestlers, Force Elite captured 15 individual championships and numerous medals across various divisions.

In Rookie Bantam 47-49, Brayden Wilson earned 1st place and 20 team points, pinning Brody Doy in 1:34 during the semifinals and Roman Modesitt in 2:22 in the final. Tyler Sage matched this achievement in Rookie Bantam 49-51, also scoring 20 points with decisive falls in both rounds, including a 1:37 pin over Lucas Hensley in the final.

Cohen Filips claimed the top spot in Boys Bantam 48-49, scoring 19.5 points with a semifinal pin in 0:23 and a tech fall (17-0) over Maddux Bartels in the championship. In Boys Bantam 61-62 B, Jaxon Benicky dominated, scoring 20 points and pinning both opponents, including a 1:15 fall in the final against Jace Flahive.

In the Girls Novice 100-105 division, Brooklyn Rauen was unstoppable, securing 20 points and winning all three matches by fall, with her fastest pin in just 16 seconds. Jacob Rangel excelled in Boys Novice 88-90, earning 26 points with three falls, including a 2:06 pin in the final against Kaleb Boyce.

Logan Linton triumphed in Boys Novice 65-69, scoring 22 points with a mix of falls and decisions, including a tight 5-3 victory in the final. Nora Rauen captured 1st in Boys Novice 69-72, tallying 23.5 points with a tech fall (15-0) in the championship.

Miles Jarrette won Rookie Intermediate 65-70, scoring 23 points with a major decision and a pin before claiming the final by an 11-8 decision. In Rookie Intermediate 145-152, Brody Dreger tallied 5 points with a dominant performance, including a 1:40 pin.

Maddox Martinez, competing in Boys Intermediate 72-75, secured 21.5 points, winning his final 2-0 in a hard-fought decision. Eli Ramirez dominated Boys Intermediate 81-83, scoring 24.5 points with a tech fall (18-0) and a major decision (14-1) in the championship.

Brody Swoboda earned 24 points in Boys Intermediate 86-89, including a clutch fall in 2:39 during the final. Lorenzo Gonzalez shone in Boys Senior 96-99, scoring 25.5 points with a tech fall (16-0) in the championship. Finally, Finn McDermott excelled in Boys Senior 110-118, amassing 25.5 points and sealing the title with a swift 54-second pin.

Force Elite’s next matches will take place next Sunday with split squads attending the Yeti Bash in Morris or the Joe Tholl Elite at Shepard H.S.
