Ten Wrestlers Earn Rings at Yeti Bash

MORRIS, IL - Force Elite Wrestling Club made a solid showing at the 30-team Yeti Bash held at Morris High School on Sunday, December 22nd, with 45 wrestlers competing. An impressive 21 athletes reached the finals, and 10 of them secured championship rings. Here’s a summary of the champions' victories:

  • Colton Humbert (Tots 44-44 A) dominated his bracket, winning his semifinal by fall in 0:47 and his final by decision, 6-5.
  • Owen Roe (Tots 52-52) earned 19.0 team points with a 34-second fall in the semifinal and a 16-5 major decision in the final.
  • Hunter Hickey (Tots 53-54 B) showed his strength, pinning his semifinal opponent in 2:24 and securing the title with a 51-second fall.
  • Tyler Sage (Rookie Bantam 51-53 A) advanced with a 14-0 major decision before claiming victory in the finals, 5-1.
  • Connor Manak (Rookie Bantam 53-54 B) won by tech fall, 16-1, in the semifinal and followed up with an 11-0 major decision in the final.
  • Ashton Huml (Rookie Bantam 58-59) needed just 24 seconds in the semifinal and 44 seconds in the final to pin his way to the title.
  • Augustine Martinez (Boys Bantam 59-60 A) earned 19.0 points by pinning his semifinal opponent in 0:21 and sealing the championship with a 9-1 major decision.
  • Jacob Lundy (Boys Bantam 60-62) secured 20.0 points by pinning both his semifinal opponent (0:50) and final opponent (1:26).
  • Nora Rauen (Boys Novice 67-72) dominated her bracket with three falls, including a 3:04 pin in the final, scoring a team-high 26.0 points.
  • Mercedes Romero (Girls Senior 93-100) swept her matches with three pins, finishing her final bout in just 1:08.

The Force wrestlers demonstrated great effort and dedication at the Yeti Bash, making their club proud with a strong top 10 team performance. The team resumes action next Sunday at the Reindeer Rumble at Naperville Central High School.
